Preparation for Reiki Training

Lisa welcomes the opportunity to meet with you before you decide whether to attend one of the Reiki courses so that you can be certain whether she is the right person to support you with your Reiki journey.

Requirements

You are required to begin a cleanse one month before your Reiki course and continue for 21 days after your last attunement.  See the dietary guidelines below.

You will be required to give yourself a total of one hour of Reiki each day following the attunements.  This is particularly important for the first 21 days.

You will be required to write a journal during the first two days of training and for each of the following 21 days.

Reiki 2 students are expected to be giving themselves daily Reiki treatments prior to the training.

Dietary Guidelines

 Cut out the following foods

       Tea

       Coffee

       Alcohol

       Chocolate

☼  Green tea

☼  Flavoured water

       Caffeinated drinks

       Non prescription drugs

       Processed foods and drinks

       Decaffeinated tea and coffee

Some people choose to follow a vegetarian or vegan diet during the cleanse

  • You are asked to eat natural, home-prepared foods and drink one and a half litres of pure water each day for the duration of the cleanse.
  • You may wish to drink pure fruit juice and natural herbal teas to supplement your water intake.
  • It is advisable to drink warm water containing some freshly squeezed lemon juice each morning during the cleansing period.
  • You are advised to eat organic food if possible.
  • I recommend you invest in 'Cooking Without Made Easy' by Barbara Cousins ISBN: 978-0-00-719874-4.  This book is full of vegetarian and meat-based recipes that are suitable for the Reiki cleanse.
  • 'Vegetarian Cooking Without' is also full of suitable recipes.  This book is also by Barbara Cousins, the ISBN is 978-0-7225-3897-5.

A list of recommended books will be given to you during your course.  You may find it useful to read 'The Dance of Anger' by Harriet Lerner, Ph.D., ISBN: 978-0-06-074104-4 before the first day of your course.
